35. erste Tage, Atherton Show

G'Day ihr Lieben,

ich bin jetzt seit einigen Tagen bei meiner Gastfamilie. Ich finde wirklich alles wunderschön hier! Meine Gastfamilie ist super lieb zu mir und wir unternehmen viel :-) gestern (07.07.2013) waren wir auf dem Tolga Market. Das ist ein Markt, wo du Gemüse, Obst und viele andere Sachen kaufen kannst. Der Markt war wirklich toll und meine Gastmutter und ich haben den besten Kaffee getrunken, den es nur gibt! Danach sind wir in einen Lebensmittelladen gegangen und haben noch ein paar Sachen besorgt, die wir brauchten. Heute hatte ich meinen ersten Schultag und er war wirklich toll (darüber werde ich aber ein anderes Mal mehr erzählen)! Nach der Schule bin ich mit Sanah, Karli und den Internationals von meiner neuen Schule in dem Uniform Shop gegangen und habe mir meine Schuluniform gekauft. Danach sind wir dann zu bigW gegangen und haben die restlichen Sachen gekauft, die ich brauchte, wie z.B. Klebe, Schere, USB-Stick, SIM-Karte, etc. Danach sind wir alle wieder zur High School gelaufen und meine Gastschwester, eine ihrer Freundinnen und ich sind nach Hause gelaufen.

Abends sind wir dann zu der Atherton Show gegangen das war extrem voll! Die Show ist so etwas wie eine riesige Kirmes auf dem in Atherton und findet einmal im Jahr statt. Man konnte dort Springreiten sehen, Dosen werfen, schießen, etc. Wir waren wir dann auf dem Riesenrad und haben dem Feuerwerk zugeschaut, außerdem haben wir geschossen und waren im 9D Cinema. Außerdem habe ich das erst mal einen Dagwood Dog gegessen (das ist eine Wurst in einem gebratenen Mantel aus Teig in Soße getippt). Die Show war wunderschön und es hat einen riesen Spaß gemacht dort zu sein! Ich habe jetzt auch schon die ersten Australier kennen gelernt :-).

I am already here in Atherton for a couple days right now and I really enjoy it! My hostfamily is very nice and we're doing lots of things together :-). Yesterday (07.07.2013), we went to the Tolga Markets. That is a market where you can get veggies (vegetables), fruit and other stuff. It was pretty nice there and me and my hostmum had some very good coffé you can just get there. After going around the Tolga Markets we went shopping in a hugh supermarket! 

Today I had my first day of school and I really liked it (but I am going to talk it another time)! After school I went to the Uniform Shop with Sanah (my hostsister), Karli (one of her friends) and all the other exchange students from my school and we bought us our uniforms. Then we went to BIGW and bought some other school stuff like USB-sticks, glue, etc. After our shopping trip we went back to school and my hostsister and her friend walked back home. 

At night we went to the Atherton Show. It was extremely full there because it's kind of a 'once a year event' in Atherton. We went on the observation wheel, watched the fireworks, shot some tins and went into a 9D Cinema. I also tried a Dagwood Dog (a saussage in pastry, tipped into tomatoe sauce). Being on the showground was lots of fun and I already met some Aussies :-)).
